BAPEX started drilling another well in Bhola


MA Mannan, Bhola ঃ BAPEX has started drilling another well in search of gas in Bhola.
Thursday (March 9), a team of BAPEX worked on the excavation from morning to evening. Bapex has confirmed that the excavation work will be completed by the June next.
According to BAPEX, it is the ninth well of the district and third well drilling operations under Bhola North gas field.
Bapex officials believe that a large amount of gas is possible to extract from here. While this well has 200 BCF of gas reserves, they have set a target of extracting 20 million cubic feet of gas daily from here.
Russian multinational energy company ‘Gazprom’ has completed the procurement of drilling rigs, engineering materials, drilling equipment, third-party service equipment and foreign technical manpower to commence drilling operations for the Ilisha-1 well.
According to geological analysis and DPP, Elisha-1 well is planned to be drilled to a depth of approximately 3400m and DST (Drill Stem Test) at three levels. Bapex Managing Director Md Ali confirmed this information. Earlier in 2018, BAPEX found gas potential here in geological survey.
